TANJUNG TUALANG DREDGE, the Last Tin Dredge Standing


The Tanjung Tualang Dredge (henceforth referred to as“The Dredge”) is the only tin dredge left in the country. It is located at the 5th Mile Batu Gajah – Tanjung Tualang Road, Batu Gajah, Perak and was one of Malaysia’s larger tin dredges. The Dredge was designed and built by FW Payne in 1938 in England.

The KLTM tin price was unchanged at US$21,800 per tonne over the weekend. It dropped US$360 per tonne to settle at US$21,440 per tonne on Tuesday.

The KLTM tin price gained US$300 per tonne over the weekend to settle at US$21,650 per tonne on Monday but lost US$350 per tonne to drop to US$21,300 per tonne on Tuesday.
