The Kuala Lumpur Tin Market Weekly Review 16 – 20 Jul 2018 (23 Jul 2018) |
Tin trading on the KLTM
during the third trading week of July was rather flat and was in line with the movement
of tin prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME).
Tin prices increased by
US$30 per tonne over the weekend to settle at US$19,720 per tonne on Monday,
the highest level for the trading week. They then declined by US$140 per tonne to
settle at US$19,580 per tonne on Tuesday and stayed unchanged thereafter
towards end of the trading week as traders were unsure of the market direction.
The total
volume of tin traded during the week declined to 162 tonnes, compared to the previous
week volume of 168 tonnes.
