The Kuala Lumpur Tin Market Weekly Review 23 – 27 Jul 2018 (30 Jul 2018)

Tin trading on the KLTM during the fourth trading week of July was on an upward momentum, in line with the movement of tin prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME).

Tin prices declined by US$50 per tonne over the weekend to settle at US$19,530 per tonne on Monday, the lowest level for the trading week before staying unchanged the following day. They then increased by US$70 and US$240 per tonne to settle at US$19,600 and US$19,840 per tonne on Wednesday and Thursday respectively before closing the trading week unchanged at Thursday’s price level.    

 

The total volume of tin traded during the week rose to 235 tonnes, compared to the previous week volume of 162 tonnes.
