Tin trading on the KLTM
during the third trading week of October were mostly on an upward momentum and
was in line with the movement of tin prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME).
Tin prices declined by
US$301 per tonne over the weekend to settle at US$16,400 per tonne on Monday
and slid further by US$50 per tonne to settle at US$16,350 per tonne on Tuesday.
Thereafter, they rebounded by US$150, US$250 and US$100 per tonne to settle at
US$16,500, US$16,750 and US$16,850 per tonne on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
respectively.
The total
volume of tin traded during the week rose to 107 tonnes, compared to the previous
week volume of 97 tonnes.
