The Kuala Lumpur Tin Market Weekly Review 23 – 27 Dec 2019 (30 Dec 2019)

Tin trading on the KLTM during the fourth trading week of December was mostly on a downward momentum and was in line with the movement of tin prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME).

 

Tin prices increased by US$50 per tonne over the weekend to settle at US$17,250 per tonne on Monday and stayed unchanged the subsequent day. The local physical tin market was closed on Wednesday, in conjunction with the Christmas holiday. Thereafter, they softened by US$70 and US$120 per tonne to settle at US$17,180 and US$17,060 per tonne on Thursday and Friday respectively.   

 

The total volume of tin traded during the week declined to 74 tonnes, compared to the previous week volume of 88 tonnes.
