The KLTM continued to weaken further during the week. The market opened the week on Monday at US$21,400 per tonne, an increase of US$100 per tonne over last week’s closing price.

The KLTM opened the week on Monday at US$21,900 per tonne, an increase of US$400 per tonne over last week’s closing price. Low demand, however, pushed the price down to US$21,650 and US$21,400 per tonne on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.

The KLTM was closed on Monday for the Hari Raya Haji celebration. The market reopened on Tuesday with the tin price settling at US$22,000 per tonne, unchanged over the long weekend. It rose to US$22,200 per tonne on the back of good demand for the metal on Wednesday.
