Kuala Lumpur Tin Market Weekly Review 12 – 16 April (19Apr10)
Tin prices at the KLTM continued its upward trend.  It started the week with tin being traded at US$18,670 per tonne on Monday, US$70 per tonne higher than the previous Friday’s price.

 

 The tin price increased to US$18,700 on Tuesday, slid back slightly to US$18,690 per tonne on Wednesday but recovered to US$18,710 per tonne on Thursday before jumping to US$18,950 per tonne on Friday.  The price trend reflected the positive trading momentum at LME and was supported by strong demand particularly from European buyers.


The turnover for the week was 455 tonnes, a 43% increase from the previous week’s traded quantity of 318 tonnes and the highest weekly trade amount this year.
