Kuala Lumpur Tin Market Weekly Review 17 – 21 May (24May10)
Tin prices at the KLTM continued its downward trend in tandem with the weak LME market and the lack of overseas demand.   The market started the week with the tin price at US$17,600 per tonne on Monday, US$230 per tonne down from the previous Friday’s price.

Tin prices continued to fall throughout the week except for Thursday when the tin price stayed at US$17,400 per tonne,  unchanged from Wednesday.  The market closed at US$17,150 per tonne on Friday registering a drop of US$450 per tonne for the week.

Turnover for the week was 273 tonnes, 15 tonnes lower than the previous week.
