Kuala Lumpur Tin Market Weekly Review 19 – 23 April (26Apr10)
After the strong showing the previous week, tin prices at the KLTM took a correction, opening at US$18,880 per tonne on Monday, down US$70 per tonne from Friday’s price.  

 

The tin price slid further to US$18,820 per tonne on Tuesday before surging back to reach US$19,000 per tonne on Wednesday and Thursday.  This was the highest level reached since September 2008.  The tin price corrected slightly on Friday to close the week at US$18,930 per tonne.
Turnover for the week was 335 tonnes, 120 tonnes less than the previous week.
