Kuala Lumpur Tin Market Weekly Review 26 – 30 April (03May10)
Tin prices at the KLTM started to show some weakening during the week although still remaining above the US$18,000 per tonne level.  The tin price opened strongly at US$19,000 per tonne on Monday and rose slightly to US$19,150 per tonne on Tuesday.

However, the tin price plunged US$1,000 per tonne on Wednesday to US$18,150 per tonne amidst concerns over the Greece sovereign debt crisis and economic prospects.  It remained at US$18,150 per tonne on Thursday before recovering slightly to close the week at US$18,300 per tonne on Friday.  Heavy buying amounting to 113 tonnes was noted on Friday.

Turnover for the week was 343 tonnes, little changed from the previous week.
