The Kuala Lumpur Tin Market Weekly Review 19 – 23 July (26Jul10)
The KLTM daily tin price was steady at US$17,800 per tonne on Monday and Tuesday.  Strong buying in the next three days pushed the tin price up to US$17,930 per tonne on Wednesday, then breached the US$18,000 per tonne level to settle at US$18,100 per tonne on Thursday and ending the week strongly at US$18,300 per tonne on Friday.

 

The weekly turnover was 505 tonnes, 60 tonnes more than the previous week.  This was the first time more than 500 tonnes have been done in a week since April 2008.  Most of the trading was done in the later part of the week.
